If you want a university position, try an EdD or PhD. Both involve research and both are considered terminal degrees. I earned an EdD because I was able to complete my degree while still working full time. PhD programs are typically full time, but you can get a small stipend to help offset the cost of the degree.In the past 8 months, two of my colleagues, along with the help of an OT graduate level student, we have researched, planned, and launched an intensive feeding program at our outpatient clinic. I am currently finishing my SLPD degree at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and am set to graduate in December of 2020.
